Statistical Analyst (Job Code #SATX1W) 

Job Locations:  Plano, TX

Job Description:  Responsible to analyze and interpret numerical data from outcomes research studies for SIMR's pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients. Apply statistical methodology to draw conclusions and provide information for scientific research and statistical analysis regarding the cost of treatment, patient adherence and persistence, and medication treatment patterns. Develop study proposals and statistical analysis plans by conducting literature research and critically evaluating the goals of clients.  Determine the analytic questions or problems to be addressed and determine the data and methods to address them.  Evaluate reliability of source information, adjust and weigh raw data, and organize results into form compatible with analysis. Analyze and interpret the statistical information, and prepare conclusions and forecasts based on data summaries, as well as describe sources of information, and limitations on reliability and usability. Assist in ensuring project implementation per the study contract and client expectations. Collaborate with project team to ensure timely delivery and quality of all project deliverables.  Present the statistical numerical information by computer readouts, graphs, charts, tables, and data displays, as well as develop detailed written reports, manuscripts and presentations to explain the findings. 

Job Qualifications: Requires a Master’s Degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or Epidemiology plus minimum 3 months of education, training or experience in data analysis, biostatistics, and epidemiologic methods.

Statistical Programmer Analyst (Job Code #SPATX1W) 

Job Locations:  Plano, TX

Job Description:  Responsible to analyze statistical data processing problems, applying mathematical and statistical theory and methods, to design, develop, and implement computer systems and programs.  Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems related to statistical data programming and analytic needs in order to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations for the development and maintenance of data collection and data management system. Define the goals of the system or program and design how it will meet those goals using various mathematical and statistical techniques and principles to ensure efficiency and completeness as well as predict and measure outcome and consequences of design. Coordinate tests and observe use of the system to ensure it performs as planned.  Review and analyze computer printouts and performance indicators to locate code problems, and correct errors and recommend solutions as needed. Prepare and maintain technical documentation of data and analysis files. Software to include but not limited to: SAS, SQL Server, STATA, C, C++, ACCESS, and Excel.

Job Qualifications: Requires a Master’s Degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or Mathematics plus minimum 3 months of education, training or experience in statistical analysis, computational statistics, SAS, and database analysis/maintenance.
