Statistical Analyst - Healthcare Outcomes (Job Code #SAHOTX1W) 

Job Locations:  Plano, TX

Job Description: Analyze and interpret numerical data from healthcare outcomes research studies for SIMR’s pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients, applying statistical methodology and pharmaceutical knowledge to draw conclusions and provide information for scientific research and statistical analysis regarding the cost of treatment, patient adherence and persistence, and medication treatment patterns. Develop study proposals and statistical analysis plans by conducting literature research and critically evaluating the goals of clients. Determine the analytic questions or problems to be addressed and determine the data and methods to address them. Evaluate reliability of source information, adjust and weigh raw data, and organize results into form compatible with analysis by computer or other methods. Analyze and interpret the statistical information, and prepare conclusions and forecasts based on data summaries, as well as describe sources of information, and limitations on reliability and usability. Assist in ensuring project implementation per the study contract and client expectations. Collaborate with project team to ensure timely delivery and quality of all project deliverables. Present the statistical numerical information by computer readouts, graphs, charts, tables, and data displays, as well as develop detailed written reports, manuscripts and presentations to explain the findings.  

Job Qualifications: Requires Master’s Degree in Statistics, Pharmacy Administration or Epidemiology plus minimum three (3) months of education, training, or experience in public health statistics, SAS programming and data analysis.

Present the statistical numerical information by computer readouts, graphs, charts, tables, and develop detailed written reports to explain the findings.  

Job Qualifications: Requires Master’s Degree in Statistics, Public Health or Epidemiology plus minimum 3 months of education, training or experience in statistical methods, data analysis, SAS, and epidemiological research.

Research Associate - Healthcare Outcomes (Job Code #RAHOA21W)

Job Locations:  Ann Arbor, MI

Job Description: Conduct research and develop study statistical analysis plans, final reports and presentations related to healthcare outcomes research projects focusing on chronic health conditions using real world datasets. Prepare and maintain technical documentation of study data and analysis files. Work with team members to generate study progress reports and communicate progress with clients and management.  Develop manuscript outlines and contents based on study results and according to journal specifications.  Develop abstracts for submission to domestic and international scientific conferences and prepare poster content, tables and graphs upon abstract acceptance. Develop study proposals by conducting literature research and provide description of study background, relevant data management programming and analytic functions, using software including SAS.   

Job Qualifications: Requires a Master’s Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology or Biostatistics plus minimum three (3) months of education, training or experience including health related studies, statistical methods, and epidemiologic research methods and data analysis.
