Statistical Analyst

Job Locations:  Plano, TX

Responsible to analyze and interpret numerical data from studies, surveys, and other sources and apply statistical methodology to provide information for scientific research and statistical analysis.

 Job Description:  

  • Develop study statistical analysis plans, final reports, and PowerPoint slide decks by providing statistical analyses of study data and prepare tables and data displays.
  • Interpret and communicate both orally and in written form the study results based on Excel tables, charts, graphs, SAS/STATA outputs.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation of study data and analysis files.
  • Work with team members to generate study progress reports, and communicate progress with clients and management accordingly.
  • Develop manuscript outlines and contents based on study results and according to journal specifications.
  • Develop abstracts based on study results for submission to domestic and international scientific conferences, and prepare poster content, tables and graphs upon abstract acceptance.
  • Develop study proposals by conducting literature research and provide descriptions of study background, relevant data management, programming, and analytic functions.
  • Research and apply statistical methodologies as needed.

 Job Qualifications:

  • A Master's Degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology or related field with strong analytic skills.
  • Direct experience providing project management and statistical support for major research projects involving administrative/claims data.
  • Strong written and oral English communication skills.

Statistical Programmer - Junior

 Job Locations: Plano, TX

 Job Description:

Manage data programming and analytic needs for a growing public health services/outcomes research group.  This position involves responsibilities for a wide range of data management, programming, and analytic needs related to research based on national claims (e.g. Medicare, SEER-Medicare) and large clinical registry databases.

Job Functions/Duties:

  • Provide advice regarding hardware and software requirements for the development and maintenance of data collection and data management systems.
  • Configure and maintain secure servers in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Write and edit programs to clean, manage, merge, and analyze data.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation of data and analysis files.
  • Prepare SAS and STATA analysis datasets.
  • Contribute to study reports by providing statistical analyses of study data and prepare tables and data displays.
  • Contribute to funding proposals by providing descriptions of relevant data management, programming, and analytic functions.
  • Evaluate existing data collection/reporting systems and recommend methods for data collection, analysis, and reporting on new projects.
  • Work with other team members to generate study progress reports.
  • Assist in the development of methods to evaluate progress of data collection on new projects.

Project Manager

 Job Location: Ann Arbor, MI

 Job Description

This role coordinates, supports, and assists all aspects of a project from the original concept through final implementation, including research design, data management, data analysis and interpretation, report development, and manuscript and/or presentation development through publication.

 Job Functions/Duties

  • Develop study statistical analysis plans, and final reports by providing statistical analyses of study data and prepare tables and data displays

  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation of study data and analysis files

 Job Qualifications

  • A Master's Degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or related field with strong analytic skills
  • Direct experience (minimum of 1-2 years) providing project management and statistical support for major research projects involving administrative/claims data
  • Strong knowledge of observational research design and methodology
  • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Strong written and oral English communication skills
  • Excellent analytical thinking and the ability to evaluate analyses for communication to clients
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment
